AutoPTT 4.0.0
Hey hey, happy new year!
I ended up spending most of the holidays working on an alternative solution to some games ignoring input generated by AutoPTT. Previously, the solution was the AutoPTT Sidekick, but it required you to buy a specific piece of hardware and flash it yourself, so it was not exactly something the average person might use.
Now, with AutoPTT 4.0.0, you can use the FakerInput driver to solve the same problem. It does not require any hardware; it’s just a driver. It’s used in the popular DS4-Windows app, so if you’re an avid gamer, you might already have heard of it.
If you happen to play a game that has not previously worked with AutoPTT, give FakerInput a try!
As always, if you find any bugs or have any other ideas or concerns, let me know!
PS. The development of this feature was not supposed to take as long as it did. Let’s just say it was quite the rollercoaster, and there is now a (mostly) technical behind-the-scenes post about it, if you’re interested.
